Ted talk Plan b

Plan B's view on the government is seen as against them. This is especially present when he makes fun of the "Hug a Hoodie" campaign which had shown his opinions as against the Conservative Party. In addition to this, he also mentions that he talks about those who are poor and aren't being supported. He wants to try and support them by producing this music that presents their perspective which might change something about them. Considering that he wanted to be a father figure could also show how he had wanted to be supportive. The paragraph that talks about helping others shows that he wants a government that could support them and not ignore them. And so this could further enforce his ideals of helping them since a majority of his lyrics are words which talk about the deprived and how they are suffering due to what the current government are doing. He also talks about his education and how he had left school at Year 10 but was transferred to a pupil referral unit called the Tunmarsh Centre in Plaistow. This place had supported people who were poor or were disadvantaged in any sort of way and he had said that this would be ideal for them. However the funding for the summer projects would be gone since there wouldn't be enough money to host these events.

 It would be seen as displeasing to an audience who  has a social class of ABC1 since they wouldn't agree with the ideologies that are being spoken about by Plan B. In addition to this, this would fit an age group of 13-24 since this could relate to them and how young adults are represented in the media.  They might relate to the stories and the subjects that are covered by Plan B. This could compare to the audience that he has for his music videos and those who purchase his albums whether it would be a physical copy or digitally downloaded since the points that he goes through are similar to the lyrics in his album. This can be especially evident when he had played his music in his lecture which could suggest that he is addressing is audience that would enjoy listening to his music. In addition to this since both the topic of the lecture and the track have similar ideologies, this could further enforce his ideals to the audience and can prove that the audience for both are similar if not the the same.  

 Plan B mentions that the media "demonises the youth". This would be due to the fact that the London Riots were heavily present in his music video. This would suggest that he is using the moral panic to present to his audience that the media would portray young teenagers as the cause of the damage that has been caused. In addition to this there is the false portrayal of young teenagers in the news that Plan B has been against and he would like to change how the media behaves with young teenagers. Especially with the use of Chav. Ben Drew also talks about how the media uses that word present the young teenagers as young fire starters that cause huge damage. Young teenagers might want to listen to the lyrics of the music instead rather than watch the news since they would always have a bad representation so this could be the link as to why young teenagers aren't interested in the news. Considering the Wikipedia definition, this would make teenagers as quite fearful and so this would cause people to have a false image in their mind as to the fact that teenagers are bad which would in general support the idea of a hypodermic syringe since they aren't being active viewers by trusting the news but rather not questioning the representation of the news.
